3D Without Special Glasses Coming From Sunny Ocean Studios

3D Without special glasses, can this be possible?  A company in Singapore says yes.  Sunny Ocean Studios is currently developing the world’s first 3D cinema where audiences will no longer have to wear any special glasses.

The founder and managing director, Armin Grasnick, says that “Wheter it’s for private use or for commercial application – the current discussion surounding 3D imagrey shos that the future belongs to 3D Capable systems.  We are presenting a solution where the image appears to float spatially in front of the screen without the help of the usual aids like 3D glasses.  By using 64 individual frames for the different persepectives in each 3D image for the first time, we can achieve a significantly improved 3D quality.  We are even able to achieve this effect on standard monitors”

This is great news for 3D Tvs.  One of peoples biggest turn offs about 3D TVs are having to wear the glasses to view the picture.  The 3D glasses currently required for 3D Televisions can cost over a $100.

If Sunny Ocean Studios’ technology takes off, I expect it to be quickly licensed or purchased by the top electronics manufacturers.
